DAY 1
My flight landed about 30 minutes early, passport control was a breeze, my suitcase was one of the first off (another benefit of business class perhaps?). My pre-arranged driver had called me when I was waiting for passport control to let me know he was waiting, all is good. Traffic was light being a Saturday morning and my room at the Room Mate Aitana (a very modern and funky hotel) was ready when I arrived. A lovely room on the 12th (top) floor.
Tonight was the night of the Water Colors boat tour which I had really been looking forward to. Sadly, the boat went too fast to get any really good pictures, but here are a few of the better ones…
DAY 2
Today was the day to walk around Amsterdam, about 8 hours in all, I was able to get some good pictures before my photo tour, but I think the better ones are after. The tour was “Amsterdam Photo Safari” with Tim Collins. He is a wonderful guide and a great teacher, I was the only one today, so it was basically a private tour. He gave me some tips on composition and on what camera settings are best. It was an awesome afternoon/evening – Amsterdam is a very interesting and beautiful city, water and bikes everywhere.
Before – Bikes, Blooms & Buildings
After…
That’s it for today, tomorrow I have a tour to a “Traditional” windmill village then I join the boat…
We are enjoying your trip, keep up the good pictures.
